MEET OUR STAFF

Administrator: Mountain Meadows Assisted Living Home was blessed to welcome Cheryl Burpee, MSN as Administrator.  After 25 years as Charge Nurse at the VA Hospital in Roseburg, Oregon working in all aspects of nursing, 6 of which were in Transitional Care / Hospice Care Unit and 5 overseeing care of 20 Veteran residents with dementia, alzheimer’s, PTSD, and mental illness.  Since moving to the Matanuska Valley, Cheryl spent two years with Mat Su Home Health and Hospice.  She presently also maingains a small business, Happy Feet, providing podiatry care to clients at several facilities and private homes.

Administrator Designee: Since the beginning, Kathleen Conn has been at the forefront of preparing the facility and facilitating the operations of Mountain Meadows Assisted Living Home.  She serves in the office alongside Ms. Burpee and the Administrative Assistant / Floor Supervisor, Chelsie Bidney.

Administrative Assistant / Floor Supervisor: Chelsie Bidney joined the staff after being introduced to Mountain Meadows Assisted Living Home when she delivered a big Walmart grocery order.  Chelsie came to us with 15 years combined experience as a Med Tech, Medical Assistant, Chiropractic Assistant, Phlebotomist, and Office manager.  She is currently working on a degree in Healthcare Administration through Bryant and Stratton College and will be finishing up in 2027.

Nurse: Kathleen Williams, AAS RN, does the medication management for all residents at Mountain Meadows.  She has fulfilled this role at Hiland Mountain Correctional Center, the Pioneer Home, and is currently splitting her time between Mountain Meadows and Set Free Alaska.  She is a certified wound care specialist and has worked extensively with patients with complex wounds in both the hospital and home setting.

Chef: Some might call Chef Allen Harrington the most important person in the building.  After 10 years serving in increasingly demanding cooking positions on Shemya Island to 3 more years as Assistant General Manager for the LKSD School District Food Service in Bethel, AK, Chef Harrington can be found serving up tasty, nutritious meals for our Mountain Meadows ALH family.  Residents generally get to enjoy their favorite meal on their birthday.
