FACILITIES
Mountain Meadows Assisted Living Home is licensed by the State of Alaska (#102001) with 27 rooms, 24 private and 3 that can accommodate two individuals. Of the 11 restrooms, 5 are fully-accessible with roll-in showers, 4 have low-threshold, step-in showers and for those that prefer, there is a soaking tub available on both floors.
Location: Mountain Meadows is conveniently located for easy access. Just ½ mile to Walmart Supercenter, ¾ mile from freeway access, 2.7 miles from Target and Fred Meyer, and 3.7 miles to Main Street, Wasilla. The home is also just 3.9 miles from Mat-Su Regional Medical Center and ½ mile from the Valley Cinema.
Residents are free to furnish their room “like home”, personalizing their space in their own decorating style and with their own, familiar furniture.
A large, covered deck is open to all for enjoying long Alaskan summer days and getting a bit of fresh air.
Meals prepared in our new commercial kitchen by a professional chef are served in a beautiful dining room. With advance reservation, residents can invite family or friends to join them for lunch or dinner.
Wi-Fi: The entire building has password-protected high-speed wireless internet available.
Accessibility: There are ramp entrances on both sides of the building. The main floor is fully wheelchair accessible. The two-story structure has an elevator providing access for all to the 2nd floor and outside deck.
Safety:
Fire: The facility has gone through extensive upgrades and rigorous inspections and permitting. The building has sprinklers throughout and is armed with a state-of-the-art fire-alarm system monitored by the Mat-Su Borough Fire Department. The nearest fire station is at 680 N Seward Meridian Rd at 1.8 miles away. Another is at 1911 Terrace Court just 2.6 miles away.
Security:
The building is equipped with security cameras in all the common areas and at the exterior entrances. The upper fire-escape exits are alarmed to notify staff of any unauthorized exit attempt. The ring doorbells at main entrances offer an added layer of protection. Doors are locked between 8 PM and 6:45 AM.
Payment programs:
Mountain Meadows accepts both private-paying residents with proof of resources and those approved for a Medicaid Waiver.
